4. Cancellations

The customer can withdraw from a purchased trip at any time. All cancellations have to be made in writing and confirmed by Arctic Angling. When cancelling a trip or not commencing it without prior notice, the tour operator charges cancellation fees as follows:

Cancellation fees:

Please note that some of our partners have stricter cancellation policies, please ask when booking a tour, an activity etc. not operated by Arctic Angling.

5. Cancellation of groups by Arctic Angling

Arctic Angling reserves the right to cancel a group tour up to 6 weeks prior to arrival, should the minimum number of participants not be reached.
A travel cancellation insurance is not included in the total price. We recommend such an insurance.

6. Liability

The operator is liable in the due diligence of a businessman for:

Preparing the tour responsibly
A careful selection and supervision of the service providers (hotels, cortijos, etc.)
The correctness of the service description (unless the operator declares a change of the information provided in the homepage before close of a contract).
A proper fulfilment of the contracted travel service, while taking into account the local and regional habitualnesses.

Arctic Angling disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strikes, road conditions or any other causes beyond Arctic Angling’s control. Arctic Angling reserves the right to change travel routes due to before mentioned causes.

Arctic Angling cannot be held responsible for the acts of a Third Party (airline, hotel or a guesthouse, restaurant, bus company etc.)

In case of changes, such as changes in flight schedule etc., the customer has to pay for any additional cost caused by this (such as extra hotel nights, meals, etc.).
If dissatisfaction arises during your stay in Iceland, any complaints should be made while travelling in Iceland or at the latest within 10 days of your return. If complaints are made during the trip, the staff of Artic Angling will do their best to find an alternative that may mend the problem.

7. Duties of the traveller

The traveller is required to:

Agree to comply with all reasonable instructions and requests made by the tour guide and the tour operator
Agree to comply with the rules and regulations of the traveling country.
Show regard to fellow travellers.

The client is personally responsible for his actions and shall be liable for any damage caused by him/her.

In case the traveller does not regard his duties, the tour operator can claim his withdrawal from the tour. Costs incurred as a result of such actions are to be borne by the traveller.

8. Guarantee and relief

If travel services are not as specified in the contract, the travelling person reserves the right to require relief. Arctic Angling may also provide redress in the form of an equivalent alternative service. Arctic Angling can deny the remedy if it requires a disproportionate effort.

The traveling person has the right to require a reduction of the travel price, if he/she reports the deficiency to the tour guide or, if no tour guide is available, directly to Arctic Angling, if considerable difficulties do not make it feasible to report the deficiencies to the tour operator. Telephone numbers are shown in the travel documents. If the traveling person abstains from reporting the deficiencies, he/she is not entitled to a reduction of the travel price.

If an interference to a tour is considerable and the tour operator does not take remedial action during a reasonable period of time, the traveller can withdraw from the contract within the framework of legal regulations – in his own interest and for the reason of securing evidence advisably in written form. The same applies if the realization of the travel cannot be inflicted on the customer due to a deficit for good cause which is perceptible for the host. The assignation of a period of redress shall apply in all cases except those in which redress is impossible or rejected by the tour organizer or immediate termination of the agreement is justified by the special interest of the customer.
The participant may claim compensation for non-performance irrespective of any reduction in price or right to termination, unless the tour defect derives from a circumstance for which Arctic Angling is not responsible.

9. Insurances

For your own safety, we recommend travel insurance which includes baggage, accident, health, interruption and liability coverage.
